The FertilCount 1 male fertility test is intended for a one-time determination of male fertility in the privacy and comfort of home.
The result of the male fertility test is known within 15 minutes with an accuracy of 97%. The test measures the quality of sperm based on their number and viability.
Infertility affects approximately 10-15% of couples of reproductive age and 40-50% of infertility is caused by sperm problems. The FertilCount male fertility test allows you to determine if the activity of a sperm sample is normal or lower than normal. Normal activity is associated with a better chance of getting pregnant. Both the amount and activity (motility) of sperm are tested.
According to the World Health Organization, a healthy man should have 20,000,000 sperm per milliliter of sample. The male fertility test is a unique home test that determines whether a man has a sperm concentration higher or lower than 20 million per milliliter. A positive result is good news, but it is not proof of fertility. There are many reasons why a man can be infertile (motility, sperm quality,…). However, the main cause of infertility is the low sperm count in the ejaculate. Sperm quality is affected by your health and physical condition, stress, lifestyle, high fever, physical activity, travel and dietary changes. However, a negative test result is still not bad news, as it will save you many months of time trying to conceive a child, without effect and treatment. In this case, we recommend that you see a doctor for professional help and advice.
How to use
The man should refrain from ejaculating for at least 3 days before performing the test, but no longer than 7 days.
1. Collect the seed sample first (you can go directly into the plastic cup).
2. Once the sample is in the plastic cup, close the cup and swirl the contents at least 10 times. Wait 15 minutes (but not more than 12 hours) before performing the test. Just before testing, mix the contents again in a circular motion.
3. Open the resealable tester bag with scissors or tear-off. Remove the contents of the bag and place the test cartridge on a flat surface with the test windows facing up.
4. Open the plastic cup with the mixed contents. Grasp and squeeze the plastic dropper, then insert the tip into the center of the sample.
5. When the dropper tip is immersed, release the grip and the dropper will self-fill with the seed sample.
6. Gently squeeze the dropper to add one drop of sample to the test window T and allow to settle for 1 minute.
7. In the same test window T, add two drops of blue solution to the sample and leave again for at least 1 minute.
8. Then add two drops of clear solution to the same window and leave again for 1 minute.
Reading results:
Positive test: If the blue color in window T is as dark or darker than the color in reference window R, the result is positive. This means that the sperm count is equal to or higher than 20 million per 1 milliliter.
Negative test: If the blue color in test window T is lighter than the color in window R. This means that the sperm count is less than 20 million per milliliter. Repeat the test after about 10 weeks, and if the test is still negative, see your doctor.

Notice
Read all information in the manual carefully before performing the test. Keep the test out of the reach of children. Blue dye is not intended for consumption, it is toxic, it irritates the skin, eyes and respiratory system. First, make sure you’re familiar with the test. Avoid any contact with the tip of the blue dye bottle to minimize the risk of contamination. Opening the dye bottle will not limit its shelf life unless it comes in contact with the tip of the bottle or the dye. The test must be performed at room temperature (20-30 ° C). If the test is performed in a very cold room, the temperature of the water in the cup will drop too quickly and the test could give false negative results. The tubes and funnels can only be used once, discard after use and use a new kit for the second test. Protect from frost. Store in a dry place at room temperature (4-30 ° C) out of reach of children.
